OZARK, Ala. (AP) — A jury took just 25 minutes to convict a southern Alabama man of five sex-related charges involving a girl younger than 16.

The Dothan Eagle reports (http://bit.ly/1eHlvwW) that 36-year-old Christopher Carroll Lively was found guilty of charges that included first-degree rape and sodomy.

Authorities said Lively committed the crimes against a girl younger than 16 for almost a decade in multiple different states.

Dale County Assistant District Attorney Cathey Berardi said the charges related to crimes believed to have taken place in 2010 when Lively lived in Dale County and the victim was less than 12 years of age.

Lively is to be sentenced later.
