TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Tuscaloosa police say they're searching for a woman who left a local hospital without her newborn baby.

Police Sgt. Brent Blankley said Thursday that a woman was brought to DCH Regional Medical Center from a local hotel on Tuesday. Doctors told police drugs were present in the woman's system and that of her newborn baby.

Blankley says the woman left the hospital with two men and will be charged with chemical endangerment of a child.

Police say the woman may have given a fake name when she was admitted to the hospital, and has a large tattoo in the middle of her chest.
