Man charged with murder in Selma shooting
SELMA, Ala. (AP) — Selma police say a 19-year-old man has been arrested in a fatal shooting outside of a nightclub over the weekend.
Lt. Curtis Muhannad told the Selma Times-Journal (http://bit.ly/16FOA5j) that an argument at a club on Idaho Street escalated to gunfire early Sunday morning. Police say witnesses told them the victim, whose identity has not been released, was involved in a fight with a group of people shortly before the shooting.
Officials say the victim approached a car belonging to a relative of the group of people he had fought with moments earlier. Police say Oscar Blevins, who was inside of the car, fired four shots at the man.
Police say Blevins surrendered at the Dallas County Jail and has been charged with murder. It's unclear if he has an attorney.
