MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — The Alabama Farmers Federation is getting behind incumbents for 2014.

The group announced Wednesday that the trustees for its political action committee, Farm PAC, threw their support to Gov. Robert Bentley, Lt. Gov. Kay Ivey, Attorney General Luther Strange, State Treasurer Young Boozer and Agriculture Commissioner John McMillan.

The group also endorsed all five appellate court judges who are running: Supreme Court Justice Greg Shaw, Civil Appeals Judges Scott Donaldson and Bill Thompson, and Criminal Appeals Judges Beth Kellum and Mary Windom.

The federation is backing U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions and U.S. Reps. Martha Roby, Mike Rogers, Robert Aderholt, Mo Brooks, Spencer Bachus and Terri Sewell.

Federation President Jimmy Parnell says Alabama is blessed with incumbents in state and congressional races who understand the importance of agriculture to the state.
