Ala. governor to discuss workforce development
POINT CLEAR, Ala. (AP) — Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley is scheduled to discuss statewide economic development issues with members of Manufacture Alabama.
The governor plans to discuss his plans for developing the state's workforce at the meeting at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Grand Hotel Marriott in Point Clear.
Bentley will talk about the Governor's College and Career Ready Task Force. The governor established the task force in January as a way to help prepare students for the workforce.
The governor's speech will be part of Manufacture Alabama's 2013 fall meeting.
Manufacture Alabama is a trade association that represents hundreds of companies from a wide range of industries across the state.
