Fewer marine police on Lake Martin has some people concerned.

Despite the growing population, security has not increased over the years. There are only two marine police on the lake. That makes some lake goers uneasy because of risky behavior, including boating and drinking.

Jim Bain says, "Back in the 60's and 70's, we had four and there was a lot less people here and a lot less boating so we need more marine police here and a lot less boating."

Next January, state troopers are expected to acquire more marine police under the Department of Public Safety.
