The U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Space Camp on June 15.

The center is hosting a weekend of family-friendly activities and a reunion of Space Camp alumni.

Officials say five-time Shuttle astronaut Robert "Hoot" Gibson will be inducted into the Space Camp Hall of Fame along with International Space Station flight director Ed Van Cise, Space Station physiologist Liz Warren and meteorologist Stephanie Abrams of The Weather Channel.

Officials said nearly 600,000 trainees have graduated from the Space Camp since it began.
