Six Year Anniversary of Montgomery Tornado

By CBS-8 Reporter

It's is six years ago today when a devastating tornado ripped through parts of East Montgomery.

The EF2 tornado touched down just before 10:30 and left a nearly seven mile path of destruction in ten minutes.

It blew out all the lobby windows at the Winton Blount Post Office, destroyed the fun zone, hit the taylor crossing animal hospital and tore through the Saddleback Ridge apartment complex.

There were no major injuries and more amazingly no deaths that morning.
