Current Valley Grande Mayor Tom Lee isn't seeking re-election so the city will have new leadership for the next four years after the August 28th election. Businessmen Gene Hisel and Walter Labbe are running for mayor of the city of Valley Grande. The city of Valley Grande was incorporated in 2003-- and has a population of about 4000 people. Only one current member of the Valley Grande city council is seeking re-election. The council is made up of the mayor and five at-large council members. All members of the city council are unpaid volunteers.
