Poll: President Obama Leads in Three Battleground States

According to a new Quinnipiac University/CBS News/New York Times poll, President Obama is leading Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney in three key battleground states.

Those battleground states are Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

In Florida, the poll shows Pres. Obama with a six-point lead, 51% to 45% for Romney.  The president has a 19-point lead among Hispanics, while the poll shows Romney leading by double-digits among whites and voters 65 and older.

Pres. Obama also has a six-point lead in Ohio, 50% to 44%. Women support him by a 21-point margin. Romney leads by ten points among men, and seven points among whites.

In Pennsylvania, the poll shows the president's lead at 53% to 42%. Independents support Pres. Obama by 22 points and women by 24 points.

The poll was taken from July 24-30 among likely voters. It has an error margin of +/- 3 points.
