From the CBS 8 West Alabama Newsroom--  The final tally is in and the Camden City Council runoff race that ended in a tie last week has been settled-- for now.

Incumbent Alma King has won re-election by a narrow two vote margin.

Four of the twenty-one provisional ballots cast in the runoff election were counted-- and used in order to break the tie.

One of the votes went to Mack and the other three went to King lifting her to victory in the race.

"I feel that it was very fair, I feel very good about it," said King.

Mack says he plans to contest the results.

"I'm dissatisfied with the outcome in particular because I received the majority of votes at the polls," said Mack.

The last day a candidate may contest the results of the runoff is Monday, October 22nd.

The Wilcox Co. District Attorney is investigating possible voting irregularities in the race.
