Extra:Where Do They Send Their Kids?It was reported back in December that the new leader of the Alabama Education Association sent his own children to a private school. Tim Lennox investigated and has more in the CBS 8 News Extra - Where Do They Send Their Kids?

I strongly feel that Board of Education members, Legislators, and all parents should be able to send their children to whatever school they choose. Each child is an individual and parents know best the educational environment that is best for their child/children to learn. I say that we have other issues that should take up the investigating time of news reporters and leave parents alone to make the best decisions for their children/family/household. Thank You.

I believe it is a parent's God-given privilege and responsibility to direct the education of his/her own children. Who knows best other than the parent exactly what his/her children need as far as education goes? It might be that someone on the board is serving in that position because they feel a need to help facilitate changes that will better the education of all children, while believing that the best education her own children receive will NOT be in a public school.
