Gov. George Wallace's life was changed forever. But it also had a lasting impact on the late CBS News cameraman Laurens Pierce, who filmed the shooting.

Lt. Gov. Jere Beasley remembers how he became acting governor while Gov. Wallace recovered in a Maryland hospital. While the late CBS 8 News Political Analyst Bob Ingram reflects on what he was doing when he heard the shocking news.
