A quarter-century after Gov. George Wallace announced his retirement to a tearful crowd at the Alabama Capitol, he still touches state government in many ways.

Wallace's contributions to the state are remembered by those who worked with him during his four terms in office.

Do political leaders, both white and black, think that he's the greatest governor to ever serve?
