Montgomery Habitat for Humanity hosted a groundbreaking event for the inaugural Faith Build.
Seventeen Montgomery area congregations are working together to sponsor and build a Habitat home.
This free event was held Sunday afternoon.
The future home site is in Habitat for Humanity's New Hope Village community.
Visitors were invited to enjoy refreshments and tour a neighboring Habitat home under construction.

"This is very special for me and my two sons, Kevin and Jacoby, who's kind of running around at this time, but just finally being able to own my home is a blessing for me today," said future home recipient Katreece Garrison.
