Shooting Victim Discusses Tuscaloosa Shooting Rampage
The first victim in an Alabama shooting rampage says he believes the gunman came to his house in a case of mistaken identity. Bruce Bankhead says he was shot once on Monday night by a gunman who came to his house looking for a black man and using a racial slur. Bankhead says he's had one surgery and will need to have at least one more. He was still in the hospital Thursday. Bankhead says he has a black roommate, but that none of the three men who live at the house know the suspect in the shooting or why he'd be mad at any of them. One of the 17 people wounded later at a Tuscaloosa bar had the same nickname as Bankhead's black roommate. Nathan Van Wilkins has been charged with 18 counts of attempted murder in the shooting spree. (Copyright 2012 The Associated Press. All rights reserved.
