Adams drugs celebrated 50 years in business in a unique way last night.

They let a customer have a 50 second shopping spree in the store.

Lewis Ray won the shopping spree. He was allowed to bring along someone with him to help They first went for the big ticket items. And they were only able to grab one of each item. Of course, all prescription drugs were off limits.

After the first 50 seconds, co-owner Mike Vinson added another 25 seconds for them to get even more stuff.

And then at the end, they added the total up and told them 50 percent of the total would be added on at the end if they put everything back in its place.

Then Adams Drugs bought everything back from the couple and presented them with a check for $1,609.20!

"I feel good, really good. Adams Drugs blessed me with this check," said Ray.

"He's gonna be Santa Claus. We gonna have a good Christmas and thank everybody," said co-winner Vickie Motley.

Adams Drugs first opened on Adams Avenue in 1962. Now the store has expanded to 9 locations.
