The Alabama Crimson Tide play their first football game four weeks from tomorrow, but fans have kicked the excitement into high gear already getting ready for Sunday's fan day. What do you need to know to prepare?

There's no doubt the Alabama Crimson Tide has some diehard fans, but Bobby Hunter probably takes the cake.

"I've got an air mattress I've got blown up. I've got a pillow. I've got plenty of drinks to make sure I'm hydrated. I've got some fans set up. I've got a laptop to keep me occupied," said Hunter.

He's camping out for three nights outside Bryant-Denny Stadium to hold on to the number one spot in line for Sunday's fan day. It's where fans are given 45 minutes to have Alabama coaches and players sign their prized possesions.

"To me it's something I started five years ago. Each year i've got to wait out a little longer," said Hunter.

It's apparent the Alabama hype is very much alive.

"Wish I could live on the 50-yard line in the stadium, but they probably wouldn't let me," said fan Ronnie Gothard.

"I'm really interested to see how this year goes," said Alabama senior, Taylor Mcdonald.

For the thousands who plan to join them on gameday, there's a few things to make note of. The first is parking.

"We have added some parking on our east campus area that is served by our Crimson Ride bus system," Gina Johnson with gameday operations.

There will be a gameday family event behind city hall.

"There will be big screen TV's showing the game, showing other games, and children's toys," she said.

If you want to start the fun before gameday, Johnson says, "Most every game weekend on Friday night before, there's going to be a big concert at our Tuscaloosa amphiteather."

But take it from Bobby, the number one rule, never leave home without your diehard dedication.

Fan day kicks off at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Sunday afternoon, but the first game of the season will be played against Michigan at Cowboys Stadium on September first.
