Alabama Wildlife Federation Holds Wild Game Cook-Off

Whether you are there to eat or compete, the Alabama Wildlife Federations Wild Game Cook off is the place to be.

Today the best of the best went up against each other in the state finals. Judges consider creativity and taste and the three categories: fish, game and fowl.

With past dishes like  "Grilled Dove Breast" or "Smoked Venison with Cajun Wild Rice," the $40 tickets seem like a small price to pay to get in on the eating action.

Our own meteorologist Marcy Novak had the tough job of helping pick a winner. In the end, the "Elk Tex Mex" from bootleg barbecue came out on top.
