Police in Montgomery say a man has been arrested in the death of a woman who was wounded by a stray bullet.

Authorities said Monday that a tipster led investigators to 38-year-old Albert Davis. He's charged with capital murder in a July 9 shooting that killed 23-year-old Alicia Scott, a mother of three.

Authorities have said Scott was sitting in the doorway of her apartment in the Patterson Court housing project when she was wounded by a stray bullet that was fired during a shootout between two men.

Scott's relatives have said she was sitting with her 5-year-old son, 2-year-old daughter and 6-month old daughter when the shots were fired.

Davis is being held without bond in the Montgomery County jail and it's unclear if he has an attorney.
