Artur Davis Considers GOP for Future in Virginia
By CBS 8 News

Former Democratic gubernatorial candidate Artur Davis is moving his voter registration from Alabama to Virginia and says that if he decides to run again for public office, it will be as a Republican.

Davis was a four-term member of the U.S. House from Birmingham when he lost the Democratic primary for governor in 2010. He moved to Virginia after the loss.

He announced on his website Tuesday that he is moving his voter registration from Alabama.

He said people have asked him to weigh in on running for a Virginia congressional seat or for a seat in the Virginia Legislature. He said he's nowhere near deciding, but if he were to run, it would be as a Republican.
