A candlelight vigil was held in memory for the victims of Saturday night's mass shooting that left three dead and three others injured.

Hundreds of candles burned bright as tears were shed Thursday night on the Auburn University  campus.

Two former Auburn football players Edward Christian and Ladarious Phillips along with Demario Pitts were shot and killed at a pool party near campus.

Three others were wounded, including current Tigers offensive lineman, Eric Mack.

Friends, family, and teammates of the victims shared emotional memories and said their goodbyes.

"First Saturday night, I was crying the whole night. I couldn't sleep until Sunday, but now I'm beginning to cope with it," said a friend of Phillips, Jalessa Yelder.

The victims' close friends, family, teammates, and even people they'd never met before, were there to pay tribute to them.

They say as tragic as this is, they hope something like this only makes them stronger.
