As Gov. Robert Bentley prepares for tomorrow's remembrance of the deadly tornadoes of April 27, 2011, he's also taking new action to save lives in the future.

He's signing a bill to create an annual sales tax holiday on items that help prepare for severe weather - including batteries, waterproof sheeting, generators and other equipment.

This year, the sales tax holiday will be July 6th through the 8th.

After that, it will be held on the last full weekend in February.
