Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport is running as normal today

 

, after being evacuated Sunday because of a threat.

Airport Authority officials confirmed it was a bomb threat, but would not go into detail about that threat.

The airport was shut down for about two hours, as FBI bomb technicians conducted a sweep of the airport. B

ccording to ABC's affiliate in Birmingham, airport officials confirm an employee found a note in a bathroom. That all happened around 4:00 this afternoon prompting an evacuation of the airport, according to a post on the airport's Facebook page. omb-sniffing dogs found nothing at the scene, according to police. Several flights were diverted during the search, and others delayed.
