A body found in a wooded area in Elmore county has been identified as that of a woman reported missing last week.

Millbrook police chief P. K. Johnson says an autopsy has idenitifed the body as that of 49-year-old Anita Washington.

Her son, Sedrick Clayton has been charged with her murder.

Washington was reported missing last Wednesday after her family hadn't heard from her since the day before.

Police arrested Clayton and discovered the body this weekend.  He is being held in the Elmore county jail under 250 thousand dollars bond.
