The Christian Coalition of Alabama is questioning the motives behind the Charter Schools bill being considered in the legislature.

The Christian Coalition says they don't agree with republican conservatives backing charter schools legislation because there maybe under handed motives in the legislation. Chairman, Dr. Randy Brinson says he is concerned about left wing groups who would run charter schools pushing liberal views on students. "It only favors one particular group to try and get an advantage once they are in they can manipulate and draw down money and not be accountable" Brinson said.

The proposed bill would allow charter schools that gives some students in failing schools districts the option to attend a better performing school. The measure could go before the senate this week.
