Update: Two People Die in Head-On Collision with 18-Wheeler on Hwy. 14

State Troopers say two elderly family members died in yesterday's deadly head on collision with an 18-wheeler in Autauga County.

A car collided head on with an 18-wheeler on Highway 14 near the Dallas county line, just 25 miles west of Prattville.

The driver, 75-year old Thomas Anthony Lovoy of Valley Grande hit the Freightliner, driven by 35-year old Clinton Hope of Selma.

Lovoy died from his injuries at Baptist South.

63-year old Betty Diamond Lovoy was in the front passenger seat and died at the scene.

A 16 year old passenger was also hurt and is being treated at Baptist South. The other driver, however, was not injured.

State Troopers are investigating the cause of the crash.
