Investigators: Food Left on Stove Started Cloverdale Fire

By Molly Grady

Investigators say the fire was caused by someone leaving food cooking on the stove on the second floor of the building.

It took more than 15 fire units to put out the flames.

The fire left three people hurt and 14 families without their homes.

Fire officials now know what caused a devastating fire that left several families homeless in Montgomery.

Montgomery fire investigators confirmed that Thursday night's fire at Rockingham Manor on East Edgemont Avenue was accidental.
