By CBS 8 News

A date for resentencing has been announced for former Gov. Don Siegelman.

Siegelman is scheduled to appear before federal judge Mark Fuller on August 3 in Montgomery.

This comes two weeks after the U.S. Supreme Court decided not to hear his appeal of his 2006 convictions.

Siegelman was convicted of selling a seat on a hospital regulatory board to former HealthSouth CEO Richard Scrushy in exchange for $500,000 in donations to his 1999 lottery campaign.
