Gas Could Cost Less In 2013

There's good news at the pump for 2013... it looks like gas won't be as high compared to last year.

Currently, Alabama is averaging $3.23 per gallon -- that's four cents less than this time last year and last month.

 

According to AAA, most Alabamians will be spending in between $3.50 to $3.70 this year -- which is a lot lower than the national average price of gasoline in 2012, which peaked at $3.94 a gallon.

This year, AAA estimates the national average prices should peak between $3.60 to $3.80. AAA says gas will be less expensive because of increased domestic oil production and lower demand.

"Gas prices staying down is going to save a whole bunch of money. I'll be able to take some trips on my bikes now and go cross country. I had to stay home last year because it cost too much," Said Greenville resident, Marcus Christianson.
