Habitat for Humanity Holds Dedication Ceremony in Autauga County

A local family now has a new home after weeks of work from volunteers. Habitat for Humanity of Autauga and Chilton Counties dedicated its 25th house in Autauga County Sunday.


The home belongs to Pamela Gauntt and her two teenage sons. The new homeowner is a volunteer herself who working on the last four habitat homes before hers.


Habitat for Humanity is a non-denominational organization that provides interest-free loans to qualified recipients to make a difference in local communities.


The new homeowner says this day will make a big difference in her life. "I'm just thankful," said Pamela Gauntt. "I have family here, I have friends here and all the Habitat for Humanity builders and volunteers. It's just a wonderful day."
