Kansas-Based Theater Chain to Buy Montgomery's Rave

Montgomery's 16-theater Rave Festival Plaza is being sold.

 

The Montgomery Advertiser reports

that Kansas-based AMC Theatres has entered into an agreement to buy central Alabama's biggest and most popular theater.

AMC spokeswoman Sun Dee Larson said details are still being worked out, but the company intends to close on the deal by the end of the year.

 

She said it will be the first AMC property in Alabama, and that all employees at the Montgomery theater complex will be retained.

At least its not carmike, they ruin any theater they own, within a year their theaters look junked
