Legislature Approves Bill Banning Abortion Coverage

The Alabama House has given final passage to a bill that will allow the state to opt out from providing insurance coverage for abortions under the new federal health care program.

The House voted 67-16 for the Senate passed bill, which now goes to Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley for his review.

Another bill aimed at making it harder to access abortions will be on the House calendar Wednesday. That bill establishes new rules for abortion clinics and requires that doctors who perform abortions have admitting privileges at a hospital near the clinic.

Wednesday is the last day the bill can pass the House since it has not yet passed the Senate.

If the politicians would quit worrying about every woman's uterus and more on the budget.. Alabama wouldn't be having the problems we are. Focus on paying the bills and quit undermining my rights as a woman and a human being.
