Lt. Gov. Ivey to greet veteran on Capitol steps

MONTGOMERY, Ala (AP) - Lt. Gov. Kay Ivey is scheduled to meet a veteran who plans to walk across America to show his support for the troops.

 

Marine Corps veteran Mac McQuown is gearing up to walk across the country and officials say Ivey will greet him Monday on the steps of the Alabama State Capitol building.

 

Ivey is expected to give a brief speech at 1 p.m. and officials say McQuown plans to walk to all 50 state capitols.
