Montgomery Police Investigate City's 24th Homicide

Montgomery Police are investigating a fatal shooting that left one man dead and another man injured.

It happened last night on the 1600 block Crouson Street.

Authorities say the two victims, a 59-year-old male and a 43-year-old male, were both transported to Jackson Hospital.

They say the the 59-year-old male, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, was later pronounced dead, and the 43-year-old was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the shooting stemmed from a possible robbery attempt.

No arrests have been made.

Police are asking anyone with information to call the Montgomery Police Department at (334) 625-2831.
