Major Cuts Could Come to the Department of Mental Heath

Major cuts and layoffs could be on the way to the Alabama Department of Mental Health - if voters do not approve a constitutional amendment this September. 

Tthe constitutional amendment allows the transfer of about $150,000,000 to the state general fund budget.

The commissioner of the Department of Mental Health, Zelia Baugh says if voters don't pass the amendment - the depatment's budget would be cut close to $20,000,000.   That in turn would devastating to mental health community centers and the loss of thousands of jobs.

The special election is scheduled for Septemeber 18th.

GOVERNOR BENTLEY SHOULD BE IMPEACHED. HE IS ONE OF THE WORST GOVERNORS WE HAVE EVER HAD. THE LEGISLATURE IS ALSO ONE OF THE WORST. THEY NEED TO BE VOTED OUT OF OFFICE.
