A federal jury has reached a $64 million verdict for the plaintif in a civil trial against Victoryland owner Milton McGregor and Macon County Sheriff David Warren.

17 charities joined forces in the civil lawsuit  that alleges McGregor didn't want any casino competition and was behind the decision by Macon County Sheriff David Warren to deny casino Lucky Palace a license to open.

Attorneys for McGregor and the sheriff dispute the allegations and plan to appeal the verdict.

Victoryland is currently closed because of a state crackdown on electronic gambling, but he is making plans to reopen.

Seems strange that no news agencie will mention the names of the 17 charities involved in this lawsuit.I would like to know their names for future references in the event my next DONATION doesn't meet their requirements... so I can avoid a law suit for failure to DONATE the required amount!!!!

Maybe its the same reason you placed your name as Anonymous, Did you think about that? Bottom line is the charities should be paid what the others are getting !! It's time to get it right.
