The Montgomery County Deputy Sheriff's Association is working to bring Christmas cheer to some local children.

Today that organization held its 10th annual toy drive for the families of Montgomery County. All the money and toys donated go straight to families that need help for the holidays.

The athletic department at Auburn University in Montgomery was out helping the department and say it's all about giving back to the community.

"We really appreciate the opportunity to get our student athletes here, helping to develop a foundation of civics responsibility is a very important part of our vision for our student athletes," said Athletic Director Steve Cortz.

If you would like to donate, you can call the sheriff''s department at (334) 832-2515.
