A Montgomery couple has been in Kiev for this week of violent change.

David and Lisa Bundy have been in Ukraine sine November of last year to complete the process of adopting four Urkrainian children.

The say their hotel is just half a mile from Independence Square where the protests and violence unfolded.

They are speaking out about how they say life is, very slowly, returning to normal after a week of chaos in the capital.

The Bundys say they're not staying on a main street, which does shield them from seeing much of the violence, although they say they have heard gunshots from the windows.

They hope to be back in Montgomery with their four children by the end of the month.
