Montgomery police are investigating the city's 39th homicide of 2013 following a man's stabbing death.

Police and fire medics responded to the 4500 block of Rainbow Road at about 8:30 p.m. Monday after receiving a report of a subject stabbed. At the scene, they found Zamian Land, 30, who was taken to Baptist Medical Center South where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators believe the stabbing was a result of an argument between Land and other people. Police have taken an unknown number of people into custody and charges are pending.
