Montgomery Residents and Business Owners Give Feedback on Madison Avenue Plan

Montgomery residents and business owners on Madison Avenue get one last chance to give their feedback on a plan for the street before it goes to the planning commission.

City developers say the Madison Avenue Gateway Plan has five phases. Phase one includes streetscape improvements.

Phase two includes better signage, dining areas and market stalls at the front of the curb market.

Also included is construction of a new municipal court complex across from the armory, as well as redevelopment of the Statehouse Inn and building commercial buildings on vacant lots.

City developers hope to get their plans on the agenda for the next planning commission meeting.
