A Montgomery man is taking matters into his own hands after his classic car was stolen out of his driveway.

Earl Willis' 1987 white Chevrolet Caprice was stolen from his carport Thursday morning.

He's drawing attention to the crime, using his front lawn as a platform to say he's had enough.

Willis posted a sign that says "Thief, Bring Back My Car Back, S.O.B" in the hope that someone could lead police to the stolen vehicle.

"I knew that the sign would not bring the thief back. But maybe the sign would get the neighbors' attention...and maybe somebody would see my car, snitch or not a snitch and report it," Willis said.

Willis paid $12,000 cash for the car in 1986.

He told CBS 8 News it's not about the monetary value of the car, but about the memories he shared with his family, especially his now deceased wife.

If you have information about this crime, you can call Montgomery police at 241-2651.
