Montgomery police say 19-year-old Lamarcus Sankey is now in custody after turning himself in to authorities.

Police are charging him with multiple felony counts of burglary and theft.

Police say Sankey and a teenage suspect are linked to dozens of home burglaries in the area.

Those burglaries date back to January 2012.

More than $100,000 in property was reported stolen in the burglaries.

Police were able to recover much of that property after serving search warrants at Sankey’s home.

Sankey was placed in the Montgomery County Detention Facility, where he was being held on bonds totaling $375,000.

Police say more charges may result from the investigation.
