The Center for Disease Control says cancer is the second leading cause of deaths in the United States.

And it can happen to anyone, including criminals.

With help from Baptist Health and the America Cancer Society, the Montgomery Women's Facility hosted a small Relay for Life ceremony.

All cancer survivors at the event took their first lap at 11 A.M., celebrating their victory over cancer.

Caregivers and loved ones were also recognized at the walk.
