Autauga County Police have identified skeletal remains that were found early last year.

Police say they sent the remains to a north Texas lab where they were identified as Edward Barns.

Barns was a 23-year-old from Montgomery.  His remains were found by a hunter in the Vida Community back in January of 2012.

Officials are treating this case as a homicide, and are pursuing possible leads in this case.
