Shoppers Dash to the Stores for Day After Christmas Shopping
Experts say this is one of the busiest shopping days of the year.
There was no question of that Wednesday in Montgomery, as shoppers dashed back to the malls for the day after Christmas sales. Christmas may be over... But the shopping is not. The hustle and bustle was back at Eastdale Mall...Whether it was shoppers returning items or finding new ones. "It's always a busy time during the holidays, but the day after Christmas especially is a big busy day for people getting amazing sales. Maybe with Christmas money or some items they didn't get in their stocking from Santa, and they are coming out here looking for them at very much discounted prices," said mall spokesperson Elizabeth Williams. Folks we talked to say they had different reasons for braving the stores once again. "Exercise and do some window shopping. Check out the suits over here at the suit shop and check some shoes for my little girl," said Duke Veiga. "Shopping Getting some shopping in the day after the holiday. We are visiting from Orlando, Florida," said Adrian Lingo. Others were just looking for an excuse to get out of the house. "I was enjoying the storm yesterday but I had to give myself some time out unfortunately," said Dallas Wilkins. Are you after-Christmas shopping? "To be honest, I want to, I got plenty of money I just can't pick out nothing. Can't decide. Pretty much walking around the mall looking crazy," said Wilkins. According to retail experts, the day after Christmas is one of the top five busiest shopping days of the year.
