Should the Governor Be Involved with ASU Audit?

By Ellis Eskew

We're asking you on Facebook what you think about the Governor getting involved with the ASU audit.

Bonnie Adkins Traphan says, "The board spoke for itself as to its wrongdoing when instead of opening their state funded books to independent auditors, they hired attorneys to stonewall the audit and cost the school more money."

John Powell says, "The Governor needs to step in. He is not trying to destroy the university but clean it up after the administration that has tried to destroy it. And they don't want the findings of the investigation released to the public. Why? What are you hiding?"

Monica Howard-Moore says, "As an alumnus of ASU I am very saddened by the negative attention that is always placed around ASU. ASU is a great institution of higher learning and I pray that Governor Bentley is not trying to take over ASU but has it's best interest at heart. We must pray that ASU can overcome this and become stronger than ever!"

Board Chairman Elton Dean, says he feels ASU is being used and abused for political purposes by Governor Bentley.
Board member Marvin Wiggins says he is ready to fight the Governor over the audit findings.
