Traffic Flowing on Interstate 85, Cows Still on the Loose

Traffic is back flowing on interstate 85 following an early morning accident involving a cattle truck.

State troopers tell cbs 8 that around 5 o'clock this morning a cattle truck carrying just over 100 cows overturned in Macon county at mile marker 29.

At least 19 cows were killed in the accident.

Eight of the cows escaped from the truck.

Six have been found but two are still on the losse.

Some of those were struck by other vehicles.

State troopers are investigating the cause of the accident.

The driver of the truck was not injured.

Only one minor injury was reported in the other crashes.
