Two Overnight Murders in MontgomeryMontgomery Police say they are investigating two unrelated murders that happened in the last 24-hours.
The first murder was just before midnight last night in the 100 block of Phillips Street. Police say they responded to reports of gunfire and found 26-year-old Terrance Murphy of Montgomery dead from multiple gunshot wounds. Police are charging Mario Cobb of Montgomery with his murder. Cobb is being held in the Montgomery County Detention Facility under no bond. Police say this is a capitol offense since Murphy was inside his car at the time of the shooting. The second murder happened a few hours later, just before 2:00 Saturday morning in the 9100 block of Boyd Cooper Parkway. Police say 21-year-old Cordarrius Woodall of Montgomery died from multiple gunshot wounds. Leonard Reece, also of Montgomery, is being charged with murder in connection to Woodall's death. Police say the two got into an argument at a birthday party. Reece is being held in the Montgomery County Detention Facility under $75,000 bond. Police say they are still investigating both homicides. |
