Montgomery police say a two-year-old boy who was found unresponsive in a backyard swimming pool has died of his injuries.

Police say around 12:30 p.m., they were called to a home in the 700 block of Dalraida Road in reference to a possible drowning. There, they say they found 2-year-old Jedarian McQueen unresponsive in a caregiver's backyard swimming pool.

Police say fire medics treated the boy at the scene before he was transported to Jackson Hospital. He later was pronounced dead.

Police say their investigation indicates no evidence of foul play, and the drowning appears to be accidental.
